The Pakistani Crime Investigation Department counterterrorism unit in Qayumabad led by Raja Umer Khattab killed four AQIS personnel – Commander Sajad (Kargil), Muhammad Hashim, Yasin (Yasir Arafat), and Shamim (Commando) – on January 9, 2015. Police recovered small arms, ammunition, and suicide vests manufactured by Sajad.
