Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the new edition of the Military Doctrine of the Russian Federation, said the official website of the Kremlin. Another decree revoked the former edition.
The document introduces clarifications to the existing doctrine. The clarifications to the Military Doctrine of the Russian Federation were put into force pursuant to a decision of the Security Council of the Russian Federation on July 5, 2013. The amendments were approved at a meeting of the Russian Security Council on December 19, 2014.
